Fall impressions

Throughout of the
month of October I went out on various occasions and
tried to capture the mood of
this years fall. The result is a collection of
reds, yellows, greens and browns. Some of these
images make me understand when I heard someone
years ago say that late fall produces a warm brown
tone, no matter whether the sun shines or it
rains. This is a nice summary showing the
different moods light at different times of the
day can create. And daylight is just so much more
workable in fall than it is in the summer or even
spring. That does however not mean, that it is not
worth it to go out at the early time of the
day.
The trips brought me to Paxton, to Boston, my home ground the suburbs and to the Blue Hills state reservation in Massachusetts. That was actually one quite nice day in mid October and I can recommend this seven or so mile hike to everybody.
The few steep climbs reward one with a really nice view over Boston and the surrounding communities. This is a great photo opportunity early in the morning I would think. I will try and get out once there is some snow to capture Boston with a winter wonder land backdrop. Until then enjoy the colors of fall...
