About me:
photography is
an interest that has been fading in and out of my
life from the early childhood days. But for some
reason it never materialised and there were
always obstacles in the way: the un-affordability
of my first black and white prints, the
cancellation of the school photography club many
years later (I was the only one interested) and
the lack of luck to have a photographer in my
life teaching the miracles of image creation. But
maybe that is just some excuses. Maybe I was
simply not ready.
If you have any
questions regarding my work, custom print
options, custom framing options or licensing any
of my photographs for online use, please feel
free to contact me....
With
the dawn of digital photography however suddenly
many puzzle pieces fell into place: photography
took place on a medium that I understand and
like, a darkroom changed from a dark room
smelling like various chemicals and solvents to
something I could grasp due to its' digital
format. And with the Internet there are thousands
of interesting and skilled photographers at my
fingertips to exchange thoughts with or just
learn from their images. And this was the point
when my photographic journey started.
Photography has been a roller coaster trip for my brains: why do I photograph and what do I photograph? And how do I photograph it? And I learned, that I like the details of this world. Simple things that most people walk past. Old things. Many subjects. But in the end, it does not really matter: I don't want to just take photographs. I want to be taken by a photograph. The subject is secondary.
I hope that you, the viewer enjoys browsing through my photographic view of the world.
